Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls.

He’s got the weight of the world on his shoulders. That phrase expresses the idea that this person’s body is weighed down with total stress. The truth is, Jesus really did carry the weight of the world on his shoulders when he died on the cross for every sin that ever has been or will be committed. Once Jesus began his earthly ministry at 30 years of age, his life was full of potential stresses from early in the morning until late at night.
Today, we’ll learn from the best. We’ll see how Jesus handled “the weight of the world” throughout his life on earth.
